Build your magic wand

Dear children,

today you will learn how to make your own magic wand, an object of power that will be your partner in the Craft in the next years! The magic wand is a cultural heritage from very ancient times, when the power staff was a symbol of political and physical authority. The staff of political leaders has over millennia turned into the sceptre, and the staff of spiritual leaders has turned into the wand. So cherish and love this symbol of your power and infuse it with your intent.

How to start gathering the elements to craft your wand? Take a stroll in a park or by a lake, where you can find dead wood or drift wood. Do not break a living tree's branch! And don't forget that every time Mother Nature gives you something (in the form of fallen branches, leaves, shells or feathers), you must receive them with gratitude and give something in return to keep the balance. You can give a song, a prayer, a thread of your hair...

Prepare all the elements you would like to add to your magic wand: colourful thread, semiprecious stones or feathers.

Don't forget the glue and a protection for your carpet - you don't want to make a mess in your room and upset your parents!
